Botswana Ash Sua Pan

MTL Triad team has been involved with shut down & refurbishment projects on Botash plants and pipeline since early 90’s.

Successfully Completed projects include:

Steel works encompassing remediation, fabrication and installation of structural steel. Civils have also been carried out rehabilitating and refurbishing plinths, bundwalls and floors. The supply and erection of site wide scaffolding and access solutions for both maintenance and projects for all plants Corrosion protection on structural steel, boilers and other assets. Insulation cladding and sheeting on boilers and other assets.

MTL Management has been actively involved in major projects on Tati and Pikwe plant since 1987. Most recently the Plant refurbishment was completed with support services to Kentz in the boiler refurb project completed in 2016

Concrete Rehab on Conveyer Plinths, bund walls and secondary containment structures. Concrete repair and rehabilitation of plant floors. Site wide maintenance and project access solutions including Scaffolding, rope access and suspended scaffold/platform solutions. The entire plant was scaffolded with more than 800 tons of scaffold. Significant builds included a major hanging scaffold in the boiler.

Steel works encompassing fabrication and installation of categories 4 and 5 site wide structural steel integrity priorities. Civils have also been carried out successfully on numerous site wide projects. The rehabilitation of Plant 1, Plant 2, DMS, Crushing, MTP, Crusher bins, 600 T Bunkers, Carp building, Silos, Flocculant plant, Degrit, Drill chip sampling plant, OM2, ultraceps, thickener refurbishment and rebuilds and the full conveyer rehabilitation & refurb including structural steel and concrete replacement. Damtshaa Thickeners refurbishment. Letlhakane Modular tailing plant corrosion protection. The supply and erection of site wide scaffolding and access solutions for both maintenance and projects for all 3 mines.

Debswana Jwaneng

MTL Management has been actively involved in site management of major projects on the Jwaneng plant since 2007. Projects include 3 year Corrosion protection and maintenance site wide 2008. Supporting Fluor, Kentz, FL Schmidt, Roymec and other SMPP operators during the cut 8 project in 2010. Site Wide Corrosion protection in 2012.Site wide Corrosion Protection in 2016. Scaffold maintenance contracts in 2015, 2017 and currently completion of the 2020 contract.

Structural Steel Fabrication, propping, replacing and installation. This included major structural plant support beams under the screens in DMS MTP. Steel plate fabrication and replacement. Q decking remove and replace. Corrosion protection on structural steel, platework, thickeners, tanks and other vessels with the Recrush and MTP plants. Site wide sheeting, insulation & Cladding. Concrete Rehab on Conveyer Plinths, bund walls and secondary containment structures. Concrete repair and rehabilitation of plant floors. Site wide maintenance and project access solutions including Scaffolding, rope access and suspended scaffold/platform solutions. Project teams have ranged from 8 to 180 people and project durations from 3 days to 3 years. MTL has proven the ability to handle massive plant wide maintenance and short intense shutdown interventions.

Khoemancau – Previously Discovery Metals

MTL Management has been actively involved in refurb projects on the Khoemancau plant since 2007. Most recently the Plant upgrade was completed with support services provided to the SMPP SMEI in 2021 which included corrosion protection, concrete rehabilitation, rubber lining and scaffolding.

MTL Management has been actively involved in major refurbishments on Morapule mine, Morapule A & B power plants. Most recently the Plant refurbishment was completed with support services to Murray & Roberts & Doosan which included insulation & Cladding for the entire Morapule A plant.

Corrosion protection on structural steel, platework, thickeners, tanks and other vessels. Sheeting, insulation & Cladding. Specialised turbine insulation. Site wide maintenance and project access solutions including Scaffolding, rope access and suspended scaffold/platform solutions. The entire plant was scaffolded with more than 400 tons of scaffold. Specialised glass bead and aluminum oxide blasting was conducted on the turbines for Morapule A.

Engen Francisown

MTL Management has been actively involved in major refurbishments of diesel, jet fuel and oil storage tanks for over 20 years. Most recently the Tank refurbishment was completed with support services for Engen Francistown which included scaffolding as well as specialized fuel tank linings.
